About Dean and Emilie

Based in Michigan (we moved from Massachusetts in 2022), we love adventurous travel, but not too extreme.  Emilie and I (Dean) thought it would be fun to chronicle and share our adventures, and to hear about the travel adventures of others.  We are both over 55 and have travelled quite a bit and like to share insights with others.

We are not professional writers or travelers.  Emilie is a retired high school chemistry teacher.  I am a retired IT Director.  We travelled with our kids as they were growing up and now we travel by ourselves with occasional guest appearances from our daughters.  We hope you enjoy the pictures and journals, and we encourage conversation, questions, and the sharing of experiences and insights.  We often find that it is the advice and input from fellow travelers that make the difference between a good and a great experience for us.
